Hello, my name is Yenty Wertzberger, I live in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn.
I am writing here because I have no other choice. My husband, Yosef a”h, was a very special man. He had a certain happiness about him that he shared with hundreds of broken people; he always had a good word to say to everyone. He was non-stop on the go reaching out his hands to help other Yidden.
Yosef supported me and our eight children by driving a school bus, bringing happiness wherever he went.
Two years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. Our lives turned upside down. My husband, who was always happy, always cheerful, was sick and suffering endless pain of treatments that didn’t succeed in saving his life. For 2 years he fought, for 2 years we hoped and davened. Our financial situation deteriorated very quickly as my husband was unable to work.
Last Friday, Yosef passed away. He was only 51 years old. We are now sitting shivah, broken-hearted, but my husband cannot comfort us as he did so many others. I am left to support my children alone, 6 of them are still at home. I am unable to work because of a medical condition and I don’t know what to do when we get up from mourning.
Please, if you can find it in your heart to help me, I will be so grateful. May you always be blessing with happiness, health and success in everything you do. We are fortunate that Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita has given his brachah to all those who help our family.
