Congregation Ahavas Achim of Highland Park has always been a community known for our welcome, our care, and our dedication to one another and to Klal Yisrael.

The Learn-A-Thon and Match Campaign was conceived in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, keeping us all from our beloved shul and delaying our annual Shul Dinner. Since that time, we have returned back stronger than ever with incredible programming, a membership that continues to grow leaps and bounds, and the addition of our new assistant rabbi, Rabbi Whittenburg!

Ahavas Achim is now building on the groundbreaking success of the Learn-a-Thon and Match Campaign through Fund the Future, as we showcase the strength of our community and unite around the holiday of Chanukah.

The Fund the Future Match Campaign kicks off with the return of our highly successful Mitzvah Fair on December 22nd. This year, the Mitzvah Fair will focus on the different mitzvahs and experiences revolving around Chanukah. You can expect unparalleled activities such as pressing your own oil to light for your menorah, candle making, and even get a chance to meet Judah Maccabee himself! The fun continues on the following Shabbos with the renowned Congregation Ahavas Achim Musical Shabbos Chanukah featuring Dovid Pearlman. That Motzei Shabbat we proudly present The Ultimate Chanukah Chagigah (at Rutgers Chabad), which will include a performance from Dovid Pearlman, a magician, and plenty of food and fun! Our goal is to raise $100,000 during this period in order to ensure that Congregation Ahavas Achim can continue to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of all its members. Donations will be taken online or on the phone, and sponsorships for the event are available.
